This year, Thomas wanted to make a cake with cars…we went shopping all over and loaded up on candy, Oreos and various Lego cars and trucks. Overall, it turned out pretty good! I think the gummy frogs added an important element…doesn’t everyone demolition derby with frogs around the track?!
Jeff came home from work with two tickets to the NCAA Division I tournament which was in Portland at the Rose Garden. We were super excited to go! Unfortunately, we didn’t read the tickets very closely. We thought we would be able to watch 4 games, but we only got to watch the last half of one game…bummer! I made up for Jeff’s sadness by making killer nachos with homemade guacamole and salsa at home and we watched in the comfort of our family room!

Thomas was super excited about the pinewood derby! He didn’t get first place, but he sure had fun making his truck!

I love to celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday at preschool-especially the Green Eggs & Ham! We did a great science experiment with water and green food coloring to show them that the green eggs are just dyed with food coloring. They all LOVED the food and most asked for seconds!
We often get together with our friends for dinner on Sundays. They are our family here in Vancouver and we LOVE them! We all pitch in to make a fantastic meal. Each of our children absolutely cannot wait to get together with the Adam’s and the Ho’s!

I had a Valentine party for my preschoolers this year. We exchanged cards, painted hearts, frosted yummy sugar cookies and listened to a story read by Miss Carol. What a fun party!
