7-27-12 SEABROOK…

We went to Seabrook to spend the weekend with our friends. It was beautiful! We ate fabulous food, spend time relaxing on the beach, went for walks, rode bikes, built sand castles, drove on the beach, watched movies and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Here are pictures to capture the beautiful weekend…

7-22 thru 24-12 OGA-JUNIOR GOLF TOURNAMENT

Ashley’s swing coach suggested she play in a few tournaments this summer with OGA, so we signed her up! I got to accompany her to Redmond, OR on her first tournament. She played at Juniper Golf Course which is extremely hard! The greens were fast and it was HOT outside and the rough was rocky and full of snake holes! One of the officials told us that one of the boys playing in the tournament shattered his wrist trying to hit out of the rocks…OUCH! Overall, Ashley did well and learned a lot! I am so proud of her!

7-17-12 WE HAVE A MOLE…

I have never been so frustrated in my whole life! We have a new “friend” in our family…I hate it! We tried all sorts of home and store bought remedies…unsuccessfully! I found a YouTube video about a claw type trap and we set it and it worked!!! Here are a few pictures of his artwork…

7-16-12 BACKYARD POOL

The true sign of summer for our kids is setting up the pool! We have had a pool for 3 years now, but unfortunately, the third year was time to buy a new one. Our old pool sprang way too many leaks and I got frustrated so I headed over to Fred Meyer to buy a new one! We spend many hours in this silly pool and LOVE it! Here are some pictures Ashley took…

7-12-12 TREES

Thomas & I went to the park to have a picnic lunch. As we were eating, Thomas grabbed my phone and took these gorgeous pictures of the enormous tree we were sitting underneath. They are breathtaking and represents one of the major reasons why we live in the NW! The trees are amazing and they truly brighten my soul! I LOVE THE GREEN. It’s worth all the rain :)

7-4-12 4TH OF JULY

We had a blast with our friends celebrating our Nation’s Independence! Of course, we had amazingly good food (as usual) which included: BBQ ribs, smoked chicken, corn salad, homemade pita chips, red-white-blue-Jello ®, berry salad, roasted potatoes and Thomas Kemper ® Root Beer. We were still stuffed when it came time for dessert, but I had made red-white-blue cupcakes from OBB and we had TONS of treats to munch on while watching our amazing firework show!
