10/21/13 PAINTING

 I drive Jeff nuts sometimes.  I have to change things up now and again!  He doesn’t mind too much, but when I get the “bug” to change, I have to do it NOW!  So…instead of asking him to help, I decided to paint the kitchen, dining room and family room while he was away on a business trip.  I was tired of the red walls and needed to brighten things up a bit.  Here are a couple of photos during the process.  The kitchen remodel won’t be complete until next year, but painting helped A LOT!

10/20/13 HALLOWEEN CUPCAKES!

 Emy and Trevor invited us to join them once again to make Halloween cupcakes!  This is quite the event!  I don’t think I’ve seen so many different kinds of candy, cereal, frosting in one place!  The kids LOVE decorating them!  We all chip in with the supplies and get creative decorating cupcakes.  Here are a few of the creations we came up with this year…

10/17/13 GETTIN DOWN TO BUSINESS

 Skyview Girl’s Swim Meets are AWESOME!  I love watching my girls swim!  Thomas and I spent a lot of time at these meets this year and enjoyed timing lanes for the team.  Here are a few pictures to capture the memories!  Ashley was co-captain this year!!!

10/14/13 DRIVING HOME IN THE AM AFTER LAKESHORE WORKOUTS…

 I had to take some time off of running per my physical therapist due to an IT band injury.  Jeff persuaded me to go work out with him in the mornings at Lake Shore Athletic Club.  I can’t say I enjoy sitting on a spinner vs talking with my friends, but at least I got some exercise, right?!  This morning was absolutely stunning.  I think that’s why I love to run early in the morning…to see the sun come up and witness nature in all its glory.  I had to take a picture on the way home from the club because the fog and sunrise was stunning!

Whenever I see something that is so beautiful, I’m reminded of the song,

“My Heavenly Father Loves Me”. 

9/19/13 20 YEARS!!!!

 Jeff and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary.  20 years!!!  That’s quite an accomplishment in today's society!  I went on my morning run and came home to find a little note with my favorite…dark chocolate dove candy and was told to find more!  I found them by the milk, by my socks, in the bathroom, in the shower, under my pillow…etc…each time I found one, I smiled!  I love Jeff with all my heart!  He is such a good husband.  I know he loves me unconditionally.  I couldn’t ask for a better husband!  We had planned to celebrate later in the year but decided to go out to dinner that night…

I printed a bunch of my favorite pictures and wrote a memory on the back of each one-letting Jeff know how much I love him.  He LOVED this!

Ok…not the best picture, but here’s one after we went to dinner.  It was a perfect night!  I can’t wait to see what the next 20 years bring!!!

9/13/13 SKYVIEW FOOTBALL GAME

 These three amigos headed to their first home game of the year.  They are ready to support their beloved Skyview Football Team!  GOOOOOO STORM!!!!!!

9-4-13 FIRST DAY…HOORAY!!!

This was the first day of school for the 2013-14 school year.  Ashley is a Senior, Aylexie is a Sophomore and Thomas is in 5th grade.  Don’t ask me how it happened…I’m a little sad, but SO proud of these three kiddos of mine! They are all amazing!!!
