Ashley is on the varsity golf team at school. Districts are at Lewis River Golf Course. Jeff took her out for practice. Here are pictures of two of their drives.
They both are passionate about golf. Ashley really played well this year. At districts, she was in the top four and headed straight to state. Unfortunately, she hit a ball out of bounds and didn’t know the ruling. She asked another teams coach after she putted out and he told her to go tee off at the next hole. The official came and asked her if she had teed off and she said yes. She got disqualified. She was SO sad…sad to have been given false information from another coach, sad because she had played so well and was going to state and sad because…well-it’s just SAD! She held her head high and watched other players the rest of the day. An official came up to her and told her that he felt bad about what happened and that she was a great golfer. She is!
