LAST DAY OF SCHOOL-JUNE 17, 2009

Everyone was SO excited for the last day of school!!! The kids wanted to give their teachers a special homemade treat, so we made peanutbutter rice krispies with chocolate/butterscotch topping and wrapped them up!!!

AYLEXIE'S 5TH GRADE PROMOTION-JUNE 16, 2009

Aylexie graduated from 5th grade and is off to middle school with Ashley. She was lucky to attend Chinook Elementry from Kindergarten through 5th grade. She was excited to have Miss Stahnke, who taught her in 2nd grade, teach her in 5th grade also!

PIANO RECITAL-JUNE 13, 2009

This year I had 12 students participate in my piano recital. I decided to have a little bit more fun and go with a movie theme for each of their pieces. I don't know who was more proud, me or their parents! They all did an amazing job! I'm sad to cut back next year, but I'm lucky to be able to continue teaching a few...

LAST DAY OF PRESCHOOL-JUNE 11, 2009

Here are a couple of pictures of preschool graduation. All the children in my class had such a good time. They performed all their favorite songs for their parents and were presented their journals and a few other momentos to look back on. I had such a fun year with each of these kids! I loved to see their enthusiasm and excitement each day as they would interact and learn! I can't wait for next year!

AYLEXIE'S SPRING SHOW-MAY 8 & 9, 2009

Aylexie was so excited for the spring show this year. She auditioned and was chosen to dance a pas de deux as a bluebird in Sleeping Beauty. She had MANY rehearsals and still kept smiling! Grandma Feely, Aunt Jill, Sabrina and Heidi came all the way from Everett to watch her perform. We also had many friends come and watch from Vancouver. Jen and Logann came to the evening performance and Logann was thrilled! Aylexie did such a beautiful job! I was able to work backstage during her first performance. I asked her if she was nervous, she said, "no" and kept smiling. She LOVES ballet. My friend, Jennifer came and took these beautiful pictures to capture some memories...

Here she is at the end of her performance. I would give ANYTHING to have such long beautiful legs!!!

FINALS ARE DONE!!!

I just finished my math final...I should've prepared a bit better, but I was ready to be DONE! I've had an extremely hectic week. Tuesday-Preschool Movie Party, Thursday-Preschool End of Year Celebration. Friday-Dress rehersal for Piano Recital, Saturday-Piano Recital. Not to mention, preparing for finals; fitness test for PE, finish up English paper, finish math homework and take final exam. I also forgot to mention piano lessons, kids, grocery shopping and, most important of all, Ashley's 13th birthday is next week! Is your head spinning? I know I tend to be a bit on the OCD, side, but this week was A LOT to deal with.

I was in the middle of typing my answer in for my math final, when the timer ended. I immediately found out my results...not NEARLY as good as I had hoped for. It was 8:00 pm. I hadn't had dinner. Jeff said I did great and not to worry. I lost it! I started bawling. I don't do that very often, but I think it's probably due to my busy week. Now, I just have to sit and wait...and take a few deep breaths and enjoy summer with my hubby and kids!

My girls did a fabulous job on all of their pieces during the recital. I was just bursting inside...it was a lot of fun to see them smile and also notice the relieved look on their faces when they finished! I'll try and put up a video snippet for everyone to see!

I know this week will DEFINATELY be better and less stressful!!!

OH WHERE, OH WHERE DID MY BLOGGING GO???!!!

Okay...I have NOT dropped off the face of the earth, it's much worse than that...I decided to go back to school. With the economy the way it is, I decided I had better pull up my bootstraps and get educated! Plus, I wanted to set a good example for my kids. I am in my finals week of my first quarter. I'm not going back to continue, I'm beginning. Yes, that would mean English 101, Math 90 and online PE. (Online PE? Yes, it does exist!) I'm a little tired, worn out, and feel a huge sense of accomplishment, all at the same time. If I do well on my finals in English and Math, I'll be able to keep my current grade status of 3 "A's". I didn't know I had it in me, but I hope this explains my absence of blogging!

My kids are doing GREAT! Ashley just finished track, turns 13 next week and looks forward to 8th grade. Aylexie had a lead part in the spring show for ballet. She danced a pas de deux. She LOVES ballet. I'll make sure and post a couple of pictures. She'll be in 6th grade next year, UGH! Thomas is growing up! He's finishing with kindergarten this next week and looks forward to 1st grade. He'll be playing soccer in the fall. He really wants to play t-ball next year, too.
Jeff's only got 1 more semester until he finishes with his MBA. I'm SO proud of him! I hope to finish with all my prerequisites and enter into the Nursing program in 2 years...if I can make it through my science classes!

I promise to try harder to post more!
