11/16/13 SURPRISE!!!!!

While I was in Idaho, Jeff and my kids planned a HUGE surprise party for my 40th birthday!  I had no idea what was going on.  Jeff and I worked on sanding the hutch he had started and the kids ran “errands”.  They had passed out invitations while I was on my trip.  Many friends helped them set up the cultural hall at the church to get it ready.  Jeff and I went with Trevor, Emy, Wil & Mako to Noodles & Co. for dinner.  Trever said he “needed” to go to the church to set up chairs for sacrament meeting.  I totally fell for it!  They ONLY reason I new something was “up” was because I saw balloons when I was told to open the doors.  Everyone yelled “surprise”!  I was!!!  We danced the night away, ate appetizers that my kids had made, played Minute-to-win-it games and danced some more!  Alice Bolen made me a fabulous heath bar cake.  It was such a fun night!  Unfortunately, my iPhone didn’t take great pictures because it was too dark…

11/7/13 TRIP TO GRANDMA’S 90TH BIRTHDAY PARTY

My Grandma Morgan celebrated her 90th birthday and wanted as many children, grand children, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren there as possible.  It was quite a celebration!  She is an amazing woman!  Her memory is phenomenal!  She might night be able to get around as quickly as she used to, but she can remember everything!  I loved visiting with her and sharing her celebrating her momentous birthday!  Happy Birthday, Grandma!

Robyn & I flew into Salt Lake City to drive to Idaho Falls, because it was cheaper.  We wanted to drive something a little sporty, but got stuck with a good ol’ minivan.  Oh well…at least we got to spend time together!  We just talked and talked and talked!  I insisted we stop at In-&-Out Burger for lunch on the way.

It was SOOOOO cold in Rexburg!  I had to buy a wrap for my ears and a new scarf because I was SO cold!  Uncle Kerry gave us a tour of the center (like the conference center in Salt Lake) at BYU-I.  It’s quite grand!

Kerry & Emily’s dog, Max LOVED this baby kitten and carried it around everywhere!

It was a wonderful trip…but I was happy to go home to my husband and kids :)

When Jeff picked me up at the airport, he took me to the waterfront near Beaches restaurant to go for a walk.  We stopped on a park bench and watched field mice scurry around trying to get food!  He surprised me when we got home with an early birthday present he was making for me…a new hutch!  It is going to be beautiful!!!

10/31/13 HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Thomas LOVES Halloween!  I let him pick out his costume early this year.  We ordered an Iron Patriot costume from Target.com  Unfortunately, it didn’t make it to our home.  Luckily, they did have an Ironman costume available in his size.  Not quite what he wanted, but he still was okay with it…

Thomas went trick-or-treating with his friends, Matthew, Hudson & Derek.  They got A LOT of candy!  He had a great time!

Here’s a picture of me with my preschoolers for our Halloween Party.  We made “mummy dogs” together and had a fun lunch!  They were all SO cute in their costumes!

10/27/13 CARVING PUMPKINS

We’ve got some pretty talented pumpkin carvers in our family!  I’m not sure who got the finished products photographed on their iPod, but here are a few pictures of them getting down to business!

10/25/13 FAMILY PICTURES

It was time…we had put it off too long.  Last year, we said we all wanted to be tan, but by the time I got around to scheduling pictures, we weren’t tan anymore!  This year we weren’t tan either, but I LOVE how they turned out!  Kim Doman did an amazing job! Here they are…

10/21/13 PAINTING

I drive Jeff nuts sometimes.  I have to change things up now and again!  He doesn’t mind too much, but when I get the “bug” to change, I have to do it NOW!  So…instead of asking him to help, I decided to paint the kitchen, dining room and family room while he was away on a business trip.  I was tired of the red walls and needed to brighten things up a bit.  Here are a couple of photos during the process.  The kitchen remodel won’t be complete until next year, but painting helped A LOT!

10/20/13 HALLOWEEN CUPCAKES!

Emy and Trevor invited us to join them once again to make Halloween cupcakes!  This is quite the event!  I don’t think I’ve seen so many different kinds of candy, cereal, frosting in one place!  The kids LOVE decorating them!  We all chip in with the supplies and get creative decorating cupcakes.  Here are a few of the creations we came up with this year…
